 BIO

14 began her artistic adventure in 2000 after handing in her resignation from a technology marketing job in the form of a hand-painted illuminated manuscript. She began selling her paintings in several local Seattle galleries, including Roq La Rue and Consolidated Works. In 2005, she moved to Los Angeles and launched Gallery of the Absurd, an illustrated satire of pop culture and trashy gossip tabloids. Drawing upon her interest in human behavior, folktales, and narrative art, she began to view celebrity gossip as a form of modern folklore and set out to illustrate the scandalous stories and ego-bloated characters who inhabited them.

Her blistering illustrations skewering celebrity culture captured the attention of The New York Times, TMZ, E! Entertainment, The New York Post, USA Today, The UK Sun, Moving Pictures, Maxim, along with newspapers and magazines around the world. She also created editorial illustrations for Animal Magazine, Cracked, Bust and El Mundo.

In 2014, she no longer felt inspired by the vapid world of celebrity culture and began to allow her creative pursuits to be inspired by her varied interests. Esoteric philosophy, nature, botany, fractals, observing and documenting interesting human beings, and quantum theory are some of the many subjects being woven into her current body of work.

Now living in Arizona, she is currently working on Radiant Seed Pods, a visionary and continuously unfolding portrait of various botanical entities and systems living within unseen dimensions. Yes indeed, a VERY different direction from her previous pursuit of celebrity folly! She has also co-founded Radiant Creators, a lifestyle company and podcast featuring inspiring individuals who are pioneering and forging their own unique path in a rapidly changing world.
